📚 About the Book
Desperate to escape his bleak life in 1937 London, 28-year-old Jack jumps at the chance to join an Arctic expedition. Spirits are high as the crew and their sled dogs set out across the Barents Sea, but their joy is short-lived. Once they reach the remote, uninhabited bay of Gruhuken in Svalbard, an unshakable sense of dread takes hold. Jack's companions are forced to abandon the expedition one by one, leaving him alone in the frozen darkness of the polar night. As the sea freezes, cutting off any chance of escape, Jack realizes Gruhuken is not as uninhabited as they thought. Something is stalking him in the endless night, and he must find the strength to face the unspeakable terror that lurks in the icy shadows.
