About Your Instructor:
Lisa has been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 2001 and teaching since 2011. Her teachers are Randy Just of Dallas TX, and Lois Steinberg in Champaign Urbana, Ill. Lisa revels in the accessibility and the intelligence of Iyengar Yoga. She is a Level 3 Iyengar Yoga teacher and a Certified Yoga Therapist and Registered Experienced Yoga Teacher 500 hour.
What does that mean to you?
She is trained by highly qualified and experienced teachers. She can teach beginners through experienced students and is certified to work with students with back, knee, neck, shoulder conditions and pregnant women. Lisa is also certified to mentor students to become Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers. Lisa knows how to teach, what to teach and when to teach with all her students.
A Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) is held to an unusually rigorous standard. Only after years of training and evaluation are they awarded their certification. Iyengar Yoga teachers are dedicated to a daily practice and lifelong training.
