MKE Dog Park → Milwaukee Public Market → Catalano SquareOur Route:
We’ll start at MKE Dog Park, warm up with some structured heeling, and then head out together toward the Milwaukee Public Market.
From there we’ll continue through the Third Ward and finish at Catalano Square, where we’ll work some stationary obedience before heading back.
Training Plan:
Meet outside MKE Dog Park at 6 pm
We’ll start with a focused heel walk down past the Milwaukee Public Market to get everyone warmed up and engaged.
Once we reach Catalano Square, we’ll:
* Work place command in a busy environment
* Take a quick water break
* Reset before heading back
After we return to the dog park area, we’ll finish with duration DOWN along the outside of the dog park fence.
This is where things get interesting. While dogs hold their down, we’ll observe the dogs inside the park and discuss key elements of dog body language — what to look for, what’s healthy play, and what early warning signs handlers should understand.
What To Bring
Come ready to train:
- Leash
- Treats
- Any training tools
- Water for you and your dog
- A can-do mindset
