About this Event
The Constructability and Construction Phasing Input Meeting supports design of 100 hectares of oyster reefs as part of the Pensacola Bay Oyster Restoration Initiative. During the meeting, staff will present the 30% design templates and preliminary reef layouts developed for the project.
Contractors will be asked to provide constructability-focused feedback, including insights related to materials, construction sequencing, access, equipment needs, procurement approaches, and phasing strategies. Feedback gathered during the meeting will be formally documented and incorporated into the project’s 60% design development.
The Constructability Meeting also serves as a precursor to a larger construction Request for Proposals (RFP) that PPBEP anticipates releasing in early 2027. That future solicitation is expected to cover construction of Phase I oyster reef restoration, with multiple contractors potentially selected to implement various portions of the work.
