Our Sacred Rhythms - Conscious Dance / Ecstatic Dance

Welcome to our daytime dance ceremony on Saturday 23rd November. Calling in like minded souls to connect with each other and with themselves through the power of music and movement. Doors open at 12pm with the conscious dance starting from 12:15pm with a meditation, building into movement and closing at 2pm. Full schedule also listed below.

Music varies from tribal house, afro house to world, funk and jazz. Sounds to help you truly connect with yourself.

WHAT IS CONSCIOUS DANCE?

Our Sacred Rhythms is a healing space for the dance floor. Through bringing conscious awareness to our movement we can learn to trust ourselves and our bodies, listening to the intuitive voice within. This is a guided dance session (loosely with no strict dance routines) with DJing from J.Muller and live trumpet and percussion from Amadeusz. We start with a meditation that slowly builds into movement and into a faster tempo, closing the session on a slower pace. It is a space for you to really tune in to your body, allowing yourself to be, to feel and to express unapologetically. Everyone is welcome and no dance experience necessary, just connect to your own unique flow.

Whatever you are going through, come as you are. You may notice some hidden emotions rising to the surface through the session as we create the space to allow all aspects of ourselves to be seen. All is welcome. The purpose is to get you tuning into your own guidance, feeling deeply into your body, welcming all and creating space for release and healing.

Please come with an open mind and heart and respect these principles:

1. Respect other people's space in the room. Dancing with another is welcome but please ask for consent if it is not obvious and take the hint.
2. No talking throughout the conscious dance.
3. This is a sober event, no intoxicants please.
4. Please stay until the end and all the way through.
