The Atlanta Womens Chorus (AWC) takes us all on a fun romp through the 70s with “Our 70’s Show!” This show has high energy and fun at its core with a few poignant moments to point out the struggles that happened during that decade, some of which we still continue to struggle with today. This show, which was designed specifically for our performance at the Whitworth Women’s Facility in Hartwell, Georgia, hopes to bring joy and reflections of the past. The 70s were known for the end of the Vietnam War, economic struggle, cultural change and technological innovation. It all sounds so familiar to today?The 70s also brought us disco and the hippie movement! Our show embraces both as well as R&B, and Rock and Roll! You wont want to miss this!
Our public show at Morningside Presbyterian will be free, but we are accepting donations, and we will perform the show and also share our Whitworth experience with our home audience!
