About this Event
In this 1-day workshop for children ages 9-12, young builders will have fun putting together a picnic table for squirrels. Participants will learn how to measure, understand angles and put together a fun finished product they can be proud of. Plus, it's fun to watch squirrels come and sit at your tiny picnic table and eat seeds and nuts!
Our instructor, Meg Wright, is a Registered Early Childhood Educator (ECE). She has worked with children for over 20 years in a variety of childcare settings. Along with her background as an ECE, she also owns a small handywoman business where she spends time fixing homes and taking on custom wood projects. In this workshop she will combine her two passions: empowering children and building fun creations.
Space is limited to eight (8) participants. The workshop will be taught by one instructor plus one assistant. Camp runs from 9am - 3pm.
