KALAC are a French psych band from Dinan (Brittany) influenced by krautrock, shoegaze, 70โs psych and space rock. Mostly instrumental, the few verses are sung in French. The power-trio is flirting with the sound of the neo psychedelic scene.
Their first single โConscienceโ came out in March 2023 on Crรจme Brรปlรฉe Records and features on the band's first album 'Odyssรฉe', which was released on May 10th 2024 on Crรจme Brรปlรฉe Records (FR), Clostridium Records (GER), Weirdbeard Records (UK) and Echodelick Records (US).
Hypnotic and atmospheric riffs are their recipe to put you in a state of levitation and introspection. They already performed many gigs in France and a few abroad since spring 2022 and have shared the stage with likes of Minami Deutsch and the Warlocks.

Amidst a creative desert comes Katey Ashley, musical artist, poet and band from Southern California. Formed in October 2020, the band practices the fine art of extreme prolificness with endless marathon recordings releasing album after album to no such end. The four piece outfit consists of Katey Ashley (his first live performance at age 3, living in Venice & believed to be possessed by the spirit of Jim Morrison) as band leader, song writer, lead vocalist, lyricist and rhythm guitarist.
Thomas Harris playing an influential role as song writer, lead guitarist, lyricist, organist, secondary & back-up vocalist, engineer & producer. Kevin Wiggs as drummer, percussionist, partial concept cultivator, and occasional vocalist. Brent Becker on bass, as well as owning their recording facility in Hollywood, CA. And lastly Samual Pow taking part time dutyโs as their overseas gig drummer.
The bands diverse, eccentric and dark lyrical content is a definitive sign of the times while their music is a mixture of modern to classic psychedelia with overtones of blues and alternative styles, flirting with the sub-genres for a compelling, unmistakably unique style forged in protest against the regurgitative repetition of un-thought provoking bands everywhere. โYou never quite know what your going to get with this band, but itโll probably be good.
The band records, produces, releases and distributes everything themselves with limited edition vinyl runs for each release and a strong disclaimer along the lines of โWe are not a producerโs band, we are musicianโs bandโ. In May 2023, a one-off gig in Tokyo Japan was played which left their sole interests in playing other countries more imperative than playing out regionally or even locally. And in the months to come theyโll continue to write & prepare for the production of their 14th studio album โTales From The Golf Courseโ which leaves us here.
