About this Event
David Rudd joined the police in 1986. He served 20 years as a Dog Handler in the rank of PC & Sergeant. He finished his career as Sergeant on Roads Policing. On retiring he worked for Essex County Council for 18 months as the Road Safety Officer for Businesses. He then re-joined Essex Police and worked for the Safer Essex Roads Partnership and set up the Extra Eyes Dash Cam Campaign. In September 2022 he joined the Prevent and Protect Team.
The talk will include the following:
- What is an Organised Crime Group?
- What are OCGs involved in?
- How Organised Crime affects everyone?
- Who fights Organised Crime?
- Spotting the signs of exploitation, covering drugs runners, cyber-crime, fraud & modern day slavery & human trafficking,
- How to report any safeguarding concerns re the above?
- Partnership working and information sharing.
