The Umpqua Valley Audubon Society and Roseburg Public Library invite the public to “Oregon’s Tufted Puffins” presented by Katherine Luscher of the National Audubon Society at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 29.The free public program will be offered in person only at the library, 1409 N.E. Diamond Lake Blvd.
Tufted puffins in the Pacific Northwest are experiencing a dramatic decline. Luscher, National Audubon Society’s Tufted Puffin Conservation Coordinator, will discuss a new collaborative effort that seeks to halt the decline of our iconic seabird. From population monitoring to habitat assessments, learn what is being planned by key players throughout the region.
