About this Event
Hand‑made, self‑published and proudly experimental, fanzines have long been places of friendship, debate and creative expression. Since the 1930s, these science fiction fan magazines have preserved stories, nurtured new ideas and provided a launchpad for some of the genre’s most influential works.
Join Dr Leigh Edmonds and Perry Middlemiss as they trace the history of the fanzine, sharing their deep knowledge and experiences within the Australian fanzine community. Monash University Special Collections will also showcase rare examples from its science fiction and fanzine holdings.
