About this Event
Join us for the kick-off of Optionality IRL! We're excited to connect in person and exchange ideas as we navigate our careers and lives in the new world of work. This event, generously hosted by Extreme Networks and its WIN Alliance, celebrates Optionality member Maria Ross and her new book, The Empathy Dilemma: How Successful Leaders Balance Performance, People, and Personal Boundaries. (Available now and at the event)
A follow-up to her book The Empathy Edge, The Empathy Dilemma examines compassionate leadership through a post-pandemic lens. It is a guide for practicing compassion, prioritizing performance, and protecting mental health so that you, your teams, your clients, and your organizations can come out on top. You’ll leave with a better understanding of what empathy is (and is NOT), how to overcome empathy challenges, and tips to better take care of yourself while still supporting others.
