Step inside Opera Viva, a night of Italian opera with a twist — presented as part of the first-ever Brighton Italian Festival Fringe.
This is not a traditional opera performance.
In this intimate, low-key semi-immersive experience, the audience and performers share the same space, guided by director Simon Gray and a brilliant cast of opera singers.
You might find yourself seated next to Figaro, overhearing Leporello’s secrets, or becoming a silent witness to love, jealousy and betrayal — all unfolding just inches away.
No pressure. No forced participation.
Just the thrill of being inside the opera, rather than watching it from afar.
