Spike Island Open Studios is back for 2024 with a brand-new programme of events and behind-the-scenes experiences 🥂!From 3—5 May, explore the expansive network of 70+ artist studios, galleries, and creative businesses that inhabit the 80,000 square foot arts centre. This also includes the UWE Fine Arts studios and the award-winning Spike Print Studio.
Opening Friday 3 May (6—9pm), this year’s programme includes:
📌 Performances that explore time-travel and friendship; meditative states through ambient music; transcendence; and sea slugs.
📌 Demonstrations and workshops where you can learn lino-printing, virtual reality, collage, silkscreen printing and how to print your own tote bags.
📌A mix of sound installations and live sound pieces.
📌A variety of film screenings from artists including @bfinetwork and @w_shed.
📌A chance to see works-in-progress, learn about creative processes and to experience artists’ ideas first-hand.
