New Year New You! Did you or a loved one receive a lot of art kits for Christmas that are just going to sit on your shelves and gather dust? Itching to try out some new art supplies you've had for a long time? Resolve to come join me at Studio 3 upstairs at the Armory sometime this year for Open Studio in order to finish those projects! The entrance is located in between the Gallery door and the Main Event Door. Walk upstairs, take a left into the Studio Entrance, and follow the hallway to Studio 3! It is also handicap accessible and open to all ages!Open studios are events hosted by the Armory Arts and Event Center that are intended to foster creativity and encourage experimentation in a diverse atmosphere of cultural exchange, conversation, encouragement, and freedom of expression.
Besides a small fee, the only requirements are having an inquisitive nature, curiosity about creating art, and a lack of inhibition about creating in a semi public space.
We have the capability to do any of these things:

Woodblock printing
Linocut printing
acid intaglio (with copper plates)
gelli plate mono printing
collograph printing
wood burning(pyrography)
oil painting
acrylic painting
watercolor painting
charcoal drawing
Conte drawing
graphite drawing
inkwash drawing
collaging
acrylic marker drawing
and much more...
certain supplies like canvases and copper plates cost $$ but if you bring your own stuff, you can use my tools and stuff for no extra cost. Drawing paper is free.
art supply donations are welcome and will reduce your entrance fee
$5 per person (free for small humans that will hinder your creativity)
