Screen Printing, or Serigraphy, is a stencil printing process that utilizes a fine mesh stretched over a screen and ink is pushed through the openings of the screen. This is also possible to do with photographs if the image is bitmapped and split by color in photoshop. Most people see a screen printed piece of art every day of their life as consumers. The most common screen printed item are graphic T-shirts. Due to registration issues, we will NOT be making t-shirts, however, this class will teach the basics of screen printing. Samantha Workman will be your instructor for the day(s). Go easy on her, this will only be her 2nd time teaching a printmaking class. ⭐Registration is FREE thanks to the Arts Access Grant. Region 2 Arts Council Arts Access Grants are made possible by the voters of Minnesota thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Maximum number of students is 10 due to number of screens
In order to attend this class, you will have to register with Julie Kjennas at the Armory Arts and Events Center.
