About this Event

Calling all poets! Come and join us at the Wellington Hotel for a fabulous Open Mic session! From beginners to bards, all are welcome, whether to perform or read your own poetry or simply to relax in a wondrous web of words. Our guest poet is the wonderful Pratibha Castle.

Pratibha Castle, Irish born of working-class background, began writing poetry as a mature creative student at Chichester University in 2009. A finalist in Fool for Poetry Chapbook and McLellan Poetry Awards, and shortlisted in Fish, Live Canon, Cinnamon Literary Award and Bridport Poetry Competitions, her second pamphlet Miniskirts in The Waste Land was a Poetry Book Society winter selection 2023. Widely published in journals such as Under the Radar, Stand, Tears in the Fence, her third pamphlet is due for publication with Black Cat Poetry Press early 2027.
