Eastport Arts Center’s next Open Mic will be held Saturday, March 22. All types of performances are welcome, but are limited to 10 minutes of stage time. Sign-ups for performers will be taken starting at 5:30 pm, and the show will run from 6-8 pm. Patrons are asked to bring a donation of a non-perishable food item to support the local Food Pantry.A limited number of slots for performers with special needs will be reserved for sign up in advance, first come, first served, by email to [email protected] (please put ‘Open Mic’ in the subject line of your request).
The lively event, presented in a casual coffeehouse-style atmosphere, has become very popular, with always some surprises ‘at the mic.’ Emcee for March will be multitalented Shead senior Madeline Collins. The event has been sponsored by Ann Nonna Myth.
We strive to keep admission free for our Open Mics; donations will be gratefully accepted. EAC Concessions will be open all evening, with proceeds going towards events like these. Meanwhile, we are always on the lookout for new sponsors for the monthly community event—please email [email protected] to inquire.
Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and at www.eastportartscenter.org, and is handicapped-accessible.
