Eastport Arts Center’s annual winter Sunday series continues weekly through April. Next up, on March 23 at 3 pm, the Lubec-Campobello Community Theatre will present a dramatized reading. Jenie M. Smith will read “A Story” by Dylan Thomas. Peter Frewen will read "Tobermory" by Saki (H.H Munro). Sarah Dalton-Phillips is director; Helen Swallow is producer.The Lubec Campobello Community Theatre presented its first production in 2004. Among the group’s credits are multiple stagings of A Christmas Carol, plays including The Mousetrap, Blithe Spirit, The Importance of Being Earnest, Under Milkwood, and The Cocktail Party, four Shakespeare adaptations for children’s theater, and variety shows, including the popular “Christmas Pudding” program of seasonal music and readings to benefit the Lubec Library.
Sunday series programs are offered by donation, with no one turned away for lack of funds. Proceeds will be shared between the presenters and the EAC, committed to sustaining programs like these.
