After a fallow year in 2025, we are hoping for a Bumper Event in 2026. We'll be opening in early summer with hopefully a mixture of late spring and early summer displays. For those that have visited before, there are four new gardens to tempt you, as well as 9 regulars and our surrogate "Village Green".Once again, we will be offering the Art Trail element this year. Exhibits by local artists will be set up and visitors will be able to enjoy these against the backdrop of the gardens. Should anything take your fancy there will be the opportunity to buy artwork on the day, as well as refreshments here and there, including a full selection at the Family Tree. Something to appeal to everyone then, whether first time or returning visitors.
Entry to the gardens will be by program. We've held the entry cost at £4 for adults, children under 16 free. Dogs are welcome but on a lead please within the gardens. A program can be purchased from any of the gardens with the exception of the Family Tree.
All proceeds raised will as always be donated to one or more local charities.
Parking is a bit limited in the village but the map on our website shows spots where you may be able to safely leave your car for a while. This would be recommended for those less able to manage the steep-ish walk from the bottom to the top of the village. From the railway station or bus stop on the A6, a leisurely 15 - 20 minute walk should be time enough to get to the nearest garden, on Middle Lane, or give yourself 20 - 25 minutes if you'd prefer to start on Shaws Hill.
Best wishes from Whatstandwell Social Club team and we hope to see you there!
