View “MMM….”, Oliva Gallery’s current group exhibition celebrating the gallery’s ten-year anniversary and International Women’s Day, featuring work by Melanie P. Brown, Mia Capodilupo, and Michelle Stone.
Bringing together painting, sculpture, installation, and performance-informed practices, the exhibition highlights distinct yet complementary approaches to material, gesture, space, and perception. Each artist engages the body, memory, and sensory experience through processes rooted in sound, physical interaction, and layered construction.
- Melanie P. Brown – Paintings created in direct response to live and recorded sound, translating rhythm, texture, and spatial perception into layered, time-based compositions.
- Mia Capodilupo – Sculptural and installation works informed by physical contact, material tension, and spatial experience, often realized at architectural scale.
- Michelle Stone – Constructed, impasto acrylic sculptures and related paintings that navigate the space between figuration and abstraction, exploring memory, transformation, and psychological terrain.
