This is an open casting call for actors to play wake-goers in the film The Sentinel. This is the second to last scene in the film and the last chance to be a background extra in the movie. Anyone who has been in the film is welcome back to play their character again, and if you died in the film you are welcome to come as long as you can make yourself unrecognizable.Cast call is 10AM. Note, the Legion is in a new location on James Street (not the Nichols Ave location), it took over and remodeled the old Friendly's building on James.
We will have coffee, waters, some small sandwiches, and desserts.
Costume is wake attire: black formal attire or since the deceased is a war veteran and local hero, any American flag oriented attire is acceptable, we ask for no political themes since the film is not about that. Veterans and law enforcement can wear their uniforms or dress blues, etc. Bikers of course can wear biker attire.
We will film outside and in rain or shine. Please bring appropriate umbrellas/raincoats if need be.
Wake-goers will line-up outside in a long receiving line when we are ready to film and then we will film as well with people inside consoling the family and paying respects to the deceased, etc.
This is non-union and not paid. We appreciate all the volunteers that have made this micro-budget passion project happen.
Credit in the film and iMDb credit is offered. We will have release forms for all at the scene. A PA will facilitate. If you have an iMDb please note it on the form and/or email the link to producer, Joe Cunningham at [email protected]. You can also email him with any questions.
Feel free to bring any friends or family, kids, etc. and share this with whoever you want. Trying to get as long of a receiving line as we can without blocking traffic. Think American Sniper final credits scene.
You can make and bring "Thank you" "Hero" signs and the like if you want, flowers, etc. Anything to sell the feeling. (Spoiler: the main character died saving people.)
Please be respectful of the Legion, they are donating the space for us we want to leave it better than we found it. Anyone who would like to assist setting up or breaking down/cleaning is more than welcome.
Any other questions please contact Joe via email above and thank you all in advance for making this happen!
