Called to contemplate the cost of discipleship, we might be helped by translating Paul’s request to Philemon into our prayer of the day: Refresh my heart in Christ. Strengthened by the company and forgiveness of Christ in holy communion and recalling God’s grace in remembrance of baptism, we can be strengthened in this hour to “choose life”—to choose life in God as our own.*Please note, our amazing technology team will be not be at worship Sept 7th and so we will not be live streaming worship. As always you are welcome to join us in person.*
This worship will include the celebration of Holy Communion. As we believe that this is Jesus' table, and therefore not our invitation but his to any and all who wish to join and be fed at it, we invite you to join us if you wish. If you do wish to share in this communal meal while you are worshiping from home, please make sure to have bread/crackers or wine/juice ready and available to you so that we may share in unison at the given time. Pastor will give directions and we will receive both elements together as a community spread out in the world. If you have any questions on what to do, or how to observe this ritual, please reach out to us and we will help you with answers as best we are able.
