Sit+Read Artbook Fair returns in 2026 with a new edition dedicated to independent publishing, artist books, zines, photo-books, comics, experimental print practices and DIY culture.
Sit+Read brings together artists, illustrators, photographers, graphic designers, publishers, collectives and independent initiatives from Romania and abroad for a weekend of publications, exhibitions, workshops, talks and informal exchanges.
We are looking for:
- artist books
- zines
- photo-books
- comics & graphic novels
- risograph & screen-print publications
- experimental printed matter
- self-published projects
- independent magazines
- small press & alternative publishing initiatives
What participants receive
- exhibition / fair table during Sit+Read Artbook Fair 2026
- promotion through our communication channels
- access to talks, workshops and networking activities
- opportunity to connect with artists, publishers and audiences from Romania and abroad
Participation details
Participation fee:
- half table: 30 EUR
- full table: 50 EUR
Space is limited and applications will be selected based on relevance and diversity.
International applications are welcome.

Selected participants will be announced on 20 July 2026.
We are especially interested in projects that explore experimental publishing, collaborative practices, visual storytelling, social and political themes, alternative education, archive-based practices and contemporary visual culture.
