"REFLECT" is an invitation to English speaking participants from different cultures residing in Poland, interested in exploring their artistic expressions within a supportive and creative environment. This creative process is designed to offer participants a platform for personal development and cultural expression, encouraging them to explore their identities within and against the backdrop of Polish culture.
✨PROGRAM DURATION AND STRUCTURE:
The process will include:
📅🤸‍♂️workshop sessions from April 5 to June 24, 2024 twice a week, scheduled for Mondays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (2 h), Warsaw, Al. Jerozolimskie 2 (Dom w Alejach)
🌳🧘a week immersive retreat 19-25 August 2024 outside the city at Mazury region, concluded with a site specific performance
🎭 a performative weekend (27-29 September) in Warsaw simultaneously performed with a group in Iceland
🤸‍♂️🗓️ a month of open studio exploration in October 2024
We will circle around the theme of collective and individual dreams. The program will include improvisation, somatic work, and the integration of voice and body practices within a multicultural context. Our journey begins with an exploration of embodiment and dreams as the foundational elements.
Emphasizing a process-oriented approach, the workshops will feature various activities including reflecting, notes taking , sound recordings, scores, and culminate in a performance and open studio showcasing an exercise database.
The project is international in scope, mirroring a similar group's activities in Reykjavik. Both groups will present their final performances on the same day: September 29, 2024.
