**Pre-requisite to enroll in this course: students must be 18 years or older and possess an active BPI Home Energy Professional Energy Auditor certification**
A Note About Ticket Types:
There are three different Ticket Types. You will need to choose the appropriate one in order to register.
WA State Weatherization (WX) Agency, Tribal, or WA State Department of Commerce Staff:Those who are employees of a Commerce-recognized WA State Wx Agency, a staff member of one of WA State's Tribes (with approval by Commerce), or Commerce staff. The list of Commerce-recognized WA State Weatherization Agencies can be viewed here.
WA State Wx Agency-Associated Contractor:Contractors working under one of the WA State Wx Agencies (see above). At registration, you will be required to list the WA State Wx Agency(ies) you are associated with.General Public/Non-Associated Contractor:Those who neither work for nor under (as a contractor) one of the WA State Wx Agencies (see above).
Course Description
This QCI course is a 2-day training designed to provide students instruction and hands on experience relating to the QCI certification. All instruction and support will be in accordance with the Building Performance Institute (BPI) QCI Certification Scheme Handbook. Instruction reviews concepts and calculations included in the ANSI/BPI 1200 Standard, associated National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) QCI Job Task Analyses (JTA), and other standards referenced in the Handbook.
Course contains aspects of BPI QCI Job Task Analyses, but it is not intended to be a comprehensive training on all individual items.

QCI JTA Domain 1: In-Process Evaluation
• Evaluate and verify quality, worker compliance, and documentation on site
QCI JTA Domain 2: Post-Work Evaluation
• Verify and Evaluate installed measures according to applicable standards
QCI JTA Domain 3: Project Compliance and Completion
• Verify compliance and completion of project
• Additional: Navigation of Reference Documents
• Discover and specify Standard Work Specifications (SWS) related to elements of a work scope quickly and accurately
*Note: The BPI Quality Control Inspector certification is a separate test with an additional fee.
