Moderator:

Ngozi Cadmus brings over 16 years of experience as a mental health social worker and psychotherapist. She is currently pursuing a doctorate focused on barriers facing black women leaders. In a recent TEDx Talk, Ngozi shared her powerful research and call to action on this timely issue.

Ngozi is also CEO and co-founder of Happiworkers, a pioneering culturally sensitive workplace mental health platform. Through Happiworkers, she leads a team on a mission to foster more inclusive, psychologically safe work environments where everyone can thrive.

An advocate focused on equity, ethics and emotional well-being at work, Ngozi offers a unique, passionate voice to lead our discussions.

The Panel:

Ruth Abban is an Integrative Psychotherapist who works in private practice with young people and young adults via an intersectional, intercultural and Systemic lens. She has several years of clinical experience in children and young people's charities and counselling organisations, alongside having worked in management, currently working as the Operational Lead for MA Consultancy Ltd.


Ruth works with a wide range of areas, including her specialisms of Adultification Bias, Racial Identity and Racial Trauma. She also works as a Clinical Supervisor and provides Racial Equity consultancy for various organisations.

Jade Buffong-Phillips is a purpose-driven marketing specialist with a decade of experience – she’s worked with start-ups, scale-ups, and established brands such as Nike. Jade focuses on building products and businesses from the ground up and creating solutions for underserved communities.


Jade is also the Founder of Mane Hook-Up, a beauty booking platform that helps women find and book appointments with afro hair stylists in their local area. They aim to diversify the afro and curly hair industry by making afro and curly hair stylists more visible.
