If you’ve been doing “bits” forever and want something bigger—this is the workshop.
This 8-week One Person Show Workshop helps comedians, storytellers, poets, speakers, and performers build a complete solo piece from the ground up. You’ll leave with a structured show, stronger stage presence, and a clear path to performing your material with confidence.
You’ll learn
- Story & structure (3 acts / chapters / beats)
- Writing & scripting your show (scenes, punchlines, emotional turns)
- Transitions & callbacks (how to glue everything together)
- Stage blocking & presence (movement with purpose, pacing, control)
- Rehearsal strategy (memorization tools, tightening, performance readiness)
- Showcase prep (open strong, close strong, audience engagement)
Graduation Showcase
The program ends with a Graduation Showcase where participants perform their solo work in front of a live audience. (Showcase date will be announced during the program.)
Week 1: Concept + POV (what the show is REALLY about)
Week 2: Story mining (pull your best moments + themes)
Week 3: Structure map (acts/chapters, opening hook, closing payoff)
Week 4: Writing scenes + bits (first draft starts)
Week 5: Performance tools (blocking, voice, presence, character shifts)
Week 6: Expand + tighten (throughline, transitions, callbacks)
Week 7: Full run-through + punch-up lab (notes + rewrites)
Week 8: Dress rehearsal + showcase game plan
