Growing up in the 70s and 80s could be a traumatising time. Television, rather than being the comforting One Show place it often is now, was rife with hidden and not so hidden horrors, which permeated not only the late-night schedules but children’s shows too. This one-off course will explore and celebrate some of those terrifying programmes and films which left a whole generation scarred for life. With plenty clips and discussion, we'll look back on offerings like Children of the Stones, Woman in Black (1989), The BBC 2 Horror Double Bills, the BBC's A Ghost Story for Christmas, Sky, Sapphire and Steel, and of course, Doctor Who. You have been warned.
