Thank you for attending the final screening and exhibition of the 2026 SFU School for the Contemporary Art’s 4th Year Film cohort.
Our capstone film projects are the result of many hours dedicated to various parts of the filmmaking process perfected over the past year at SCA, combining practice and collaboration learned throughout the whole four years of the SCA Film program.
15 students, 14 films, 1 installation.
The night will feature films by Ximena Baeza, Abhayjeet Bhangu, Alden Doyle, Marcela Echevarría, Joshan Heer, Mimi Huszti, Yousif Kairee, Kimia Moayyed, Elyana Moradi, Reza Negaresh, Abby Ridd, John M. Stewart, Natalie Turnbull, and Ethan Ukrainetz, with a special film installation by Carlo Marchet.
The program consists of documentaries, dramas, and animation, utilizing both hands-on stopmotion, digital, and analog film processes. The films will be screened in the the SCA Djavad Mowafaghian Cinema on Friday night, April 24, 2026, 7pm, and the installation will be on the top three stairwell platforms of SCA starting as early as April 1st, 2026 during building hours.
