Why Give to On The Block?
On the Block Seattle, known for our epic annual "Second Saturdays" free monthly summer activations in the Pike/Pine corridor of Capitol Hill Arts District, is so much more than a marketplace. In our mission to be conduit to sustainable opportunity, creative equity, and abundance for our local community, our event series directly support three different BIPOC led cultural/creative spaces on 11th Ave which serve an ecosystem of over 60 resident artists working in music, visual arts, photography, videography, and so much more.
About Our Public Benefit Programming: We really believe that investing in each other and building a hyper local creative ecosystem is the key to collective abundance and more equitable creative industries. Through CommuniTEAS On The Block, our three studio spaces (Blue Cone Studios, So Below Photo & Design, & The Study at Cry Baby Studios) offer over 22 different free educational and art-making drop-ins and skill-sharing workshops per month to hundreds in the community. What Your Donations & Ticket Purchases support: All funds raised including vendors fees, donations, and raffle sales go directly back to support our next outdoor season of On The Block Second Saturdays, as well as the year round CommuniTEAS On The Block program.
