Michelle Proffitt | Public Safety Information Director– University of South Carolina Division of Law Enforcement
With more than 15 years of communications experience, including a decade in public safety, Michelle specializes in social-first strategies that help organizations communicate clearly, build trust and connect with audiences in today’s fast-moving digital landscape.
Her career includes roles with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, where she managed online communications during high-profile and rapidly evolving situations.
Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Marist University and is a Master Public Information Officer through the University of Tennessee and FBI-LEEDA.
