Blending words and music, Arif and Leaf will offer a service that invites us to consider the inherency of belonging. As co-constituent cells that form the body of Earth, we absolutely belong—and as true as this is, we often experience the sensation of not belonging, or being told we do not belong, or others do not belong. So how do we reckon with the forces that suggest belonging is neither assured nor universal, without questioning the belonging of our co-constituent kin? And how might we assure belonging to the exiled parts of ourselves?
