Our Old Sparky tour explores the personal stories of inmates who were put to death in the State of Ohio. Starting with a one-hour sit down presentation, guests will learn about the history of capital punishment in Ohio, the design and development of the electric chair, and the lives and crimes of the 315 people who were executed by Old Sparky. Guests will then be taken on a walking tour of the Reformatory, including a visit to Old Sparky, currently housed within the Ohio Corrections Museum. Due to a sensitive subject matter, this tour is strictly ages 13+.
