Join us at our Hub in Lafayette over the Indigenous People's Day Weekend!This special long weekend (culminating with Indigenous People's Day), will consist of a variety of cultural and educational opportunities, cross-cultural connection and service projects aimed at supporting the communities we serve throughout the upcoming winter.
Friends from the various reservations will also be in attendance. As a multigenerational community, volunteers of all ages are welcome to join any of the following activities/meals including those geared toward our Gen7 youth program!
We are currently soliciting three dinners and three breakfasts for this volunteer weekend. Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in providing meals for this event.
Note: we do not cater to specific dietary requests. If you have dietary needs please be sure to bring the food you are able to eat (we have refrigerator space and a microwave).

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY - FOOD DRIVE!

Please bring what you can for the Native families who depend on our food and supply deliveries!
Friday:
10:00 - 5:00 | Introductions to Tipi Raisers | Cross-cultural dialogue, games and service with Gen7 youth and local schools
Evening | Share a meal | Circle at Tipi | Movie in Tipi
Saturday:
8:00 | Breakfast
9:00 - Noon | Service projects: Firewood | Food Boxes | Gardens | Horses
12:00 - 1:00pm | Free time | Lunch
1:00 - 4:00pm | Service projects: Firewood | Food Boxes | Gardens | Horses
Evening | Share a meal | Circle at Tipi | Native Drumming: Training and Performance
Sunday:
8:00 | Breakfast
9:00 - Noon | Service projects: Firewood | Food Boxes | Gardens | Horses
1:00 - 3:00| Tipi Raiser's Horse Herd Orientation: tacking, basic riding, cultural teaching
3:00 - 5:00pm | Wrap up any service projects | Free time to mix and mingle
Evening | Share a meal | Circle at Tipi | Native storytelling and reconciliation dialogue
Monday - Indigenous People's Day:
8:00 | Breakfast and closing circle at Tipi
Morning/Afternoon | Attend a local Indigenous People's Day event in Boulder or Denver before everyone heads home (exact details to be announced)
There will be camping available for Gen7 Youth and local students but lodging is not available to the larger community so please plan accordingly.
