About this Event
Join us on Ocean Drive on Sunday, March 15th, 2026, for a performance by Jim Gasior Quartet as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series—a free, weekly concert series presented by the Ocean Drive Association. Pack a picnic blanket or lawn chair to stake out your seat on the lawn. Showtime is at 5:00 PM.
A prominent figure in Miami’s jazz scene, Gasior has performed and recorded with artists ranging from Smokey Robinson and Jose Feliciano to Benny Golson, Freddie Hubbard and Patti Austin. He holds degrees from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and serves as Associate Professor of Jazz and Instrumental Studies at the New World School of the Arts (NWSA), where he directs the high school jazz ensemble. Under his leadership, NWSA students have earned national recognition, including appearances at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington competition and honors from DownBeat and GRAMMY-affiliated programs. For this performance, Gasior is joined by members of the New World Rising Jazz Stars, showcasing standout student musicians from NWSA in a program that highlights both seasoned artistry and the next generation of jazz talent.
These events (every Sunday!) are free and open to the public, taking place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place. In case of rain, the concert will move inside The Betsy Hotel.
This program is part of the weekly Promenade Sunday Concert Series, generously underwritten by The City of Miami Beach, The GMCVB, and The Ocean Drive Association.
