What if a single object could reveal an extraordinary story? In this special writing experience, participants will explore the museum's new exhibit, American Prophet, and explore writing prompts related to artifacts featured in the exhibit.
is a multimedia storytelling project that uses podcasts, workshops, and public events to explore the intimate stories behind people's treasured possessions. The project asks: What happens when we honor the things that actually matter to us? These objects often have little monetary value but are priceless because they embody memories of relationships, loss, identity, and belonging. Object Diaries examines how meaningful objects carry stories of legacy, memory, and the relationships that define who we are.
Lisa Weiss is a writer and multimedia storyteller exploring how objects unlock human connection. Her Object Diaries project includes a podcast, essays, and workshops. A 3x Emmy Award-winning producer with an MFA from Northwestern University, Lisa has created stories for mass audiences through work with Oprah Winfrey and CBS News.
