Due to the construction and public safety concerns associated with utilizing the streets on Broadway and Clay downtown Oakland, we are excited to announce that the Oakland Soul Arts and Music Festival will now take place at the Henry J Kaiser Center for Performing Arts on Saturday October 25th and Sunday October 26th instead of September 13 at the Ogawa Plaza. We feel this will be a positive move and increase participation to bring a larger audience, enhance the opportunities for the exhibitors, our sponsors and service the community in a major way. The event will be held in the parking lot and indoors featuring more entertainment, major artists, youth organizations a job fair and many community and family resources. So please join us October 25th and 26th for this spectacular two day event at the Henry J Kaiser Center at 10 Tenth Street in Oakland. Hours are 11am-5pm on Saturday and 12 noon to 5 pm on Sunday. We have added the Bay Area Black Music Awards to the weekend on Sunday October 26th inside the Gold Ballroom from 5pm until 8 pm to complete a super weekend of Soul. Oakland Soul is a spectacular 2 day celebration of the Music, the Culture, the Entertainment, the Arts, the People and the Soul. Join us on Saturday October 25th and Sunday , October 26th at the Henry J Kaiser Performing Arts Center located at 10 Tenth Street by Lake Merritt in Oakland. If you have a ticket, great it will be honored for both days so you can attend each day with the same ticket! And if you are already registered to be an exhibitor... fantastic, you can now display for two days instead of just one. So if you want to become an exhibitor do so now. THE OAKLAND SOUL ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL FULL OF FUN AND OPPORTUNITIES

Join the fun, the excitement and the experience of the Bay Area at the Oakland Soul Arts & Music Festival. It all begins at 11am at the HENRY J. KAISER CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS (Note New Location) loctaed at 10 Tenth Street in Oakland for two days( instead of one as previoulsy schedule) SATURDAY OCTOBER 25th and SUNDAY OCTOBER 26th. Gates open on Satuday at 11am and Sunday at 11am. The event schedule is Saturday 11am-5pm and Sunday October 26th at 12noon until 5pm.

Keep your dancing boots on the ground for this one because LES FRANKLIN is performing his hit "Cat Daddy," and "Hold On." Bay Area legend RAYMOND COATS who was just inducted into the Black Music Hall Of Fame will bring his style of blues, romance and party songs to the stage. It only keeps rolling when NZURI SOUL performs her unique styling and brand of soul. Of course the great NIECEY "LIVING SINGLE" ROBINSON will bring down the house; as will the one and only CHERROND G, another Bay Area superstar. Our SPOTLIGHT STAGE is perfect for rising stars who want to get time to showcase so people can hear and see them in a huge performance. Please inquire how to get time on this stage hosted by celebrity entertainer KELDAMUSIK. Watch out now because Big Momma's House Of Soul is open for business smack dab in the middle of the street! Come inside the tent for a rousing party with deejays, karaoke and singers. Get your Golden Ticket to come into this house of soul. With all this fun there will also be important resources and information. Our Bay Area Big Career Fair will have jobs in a variety of capacities including the Careers In Law Enforcement section recruiting minorities into lucrative opportunities. There will be an entire area dedicated to Small Business Development opportunities where you can discuss financial planning, investments, real estate, and meet banks that offer solutions to the community. Our special Community Tent will host workshops on health, wealth and education from guest speakers and partners who are looking to make a difference in lives and community. Can you bring the family? Absolutely! The Kidz Zone is equipped with games, and play station areas so they can interact and enjoy. Finally, we like to invite you to view what the Oakland Arts jazz & Soul offers to the artists. Our Creative Collective area will be a showcase of some of the partings, sculptures and expressions of the Bay Area and worldwide. Meet these magnificent creators of art and support their creativity as part of the Artists Row.
