About this Event
Guest Speaker: Ysabel Duron
California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM)
Join the Rotary Club of Oakland for a special luncheon featuring Ysabel Duron, Board Member of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), Founder of the Latino Cancer Institute, and nationally recognized patient advocate.
Through highlighting the impact on patients’ lives, the presentation will share the story of CIRM who we are, what we do, and the positive impact CIRM has had on patients and communities.
CIRM is California’s stem cell agency, created by voters to accelerate stem cell treatments to patients with unmet medical needs. Ms. Duron will explore how regenerative medicine is transforming the future of healthcare, expanding access to innovative treatments, and addressing health disparities across communities.
This is an opportunity to connect with Oakland civic leaders, professionals, and community members while learning how public investment in medical research is driving meaningful change for patients and families throughout California.
