Oakland Dancehall Love is my first Dancehall class in the East Bay since before the pandemic!!! Oakland is home to folks who love Dancehall and Caribbean music as much as I do and I would love to amplify that love with some of the knowledge I've gained through my years of traveling to Jamaica and studying intimately with the dancers there.
In this class we will do a thorough full body warmup with a follow along review of Bogle steps and Dancehall basics, learn some of the newest steps straight from Jamaica by some of the BADDEST DANCERS and if there is enough time, we will learn a new routine I just created to the remixed song "Pity" by Mahalia feat. Tanya Stephens (who wrote the original).
Suggested donation for the class is $20.00 but no one turned away for lack of funds :)
This is going to be so fun! I'm super excited to bring my Dancehall class BACK to the East Bay.
This class is being advertised very last minute so if you can, please RSVP so I know you're coming and please share this with friends or any one you might think would enjoy a fun class with me.
