As part of the New Zealand National Poetry Slam 2024 programme, a creative writing workshop facilitated by Daisy Lavea-Timo.Never tried poetry before? Have a poem that needs some editing? Want to share creative space with other writers? Designed for poets of all skill levels, and facilitated by a National Poetry Slam Champion, this workshop is open to all to come and explore poetry and share work with others.
Facilitator: Daisy Speaks is a proud Samoan mum, wife and lover of words. Performing White Sunday, reciting poetry for evening Lotu and hearing the Matai in her family speak made for a strong poetry foundation as a teenager. Crowned the 2017 NZ Slam Poetry Champion, Daisy also loves facilitating poetry workshops across the motu.
This is a free workshop with limited capacity, so registration at the link below is essential. No specific writing experience is required.
