About this Event
2024 marks the inauguration of the NYCxDESIGN Keynote series. Through this program, a daily keynote is presented throughout the festival week, inviting designers and brands of all disciplines from around the world to share inspiring stories and vision. We’re proud to partner with luminary, design focused organizations to bring these conversations to life.
NYCxDESIGN Keynote: Architecture Design
The underlying story of the design and construction of the globally-recognized National September 11 Memorial Museum, dedicated 10 years ago this coming May, is one of resourcefulness, empathy, and commitment to future understanding of the events responsible for its creation. This complex undertaking, taking form within the gaping physical wound created by the very attack about which it seeks to educate, is a testament to the inventiveness and commitment of the project’s engineers, architects and designers. Join the 9/11 Memorial & Museum for a discussion of the challenges and sensitivities they faced in building an enduring structure that would house and memorialize the stories of thousands.
Please be aware that by purchasing a ticket, you are aware and agree that the event will be recorded and photographed for future marketing, promotional, and other public use on behalf of NYCxDESIGN and the partners of this Keynote. A full release can be requested by e-mailing [email protected]
