About this Event
The NWG Network has the pleasure of inviting you to join our ‘Preventing, Disrupting and Interrupting Exploitation’ Webinar, which is taking place on Friday 6th December 2024.
‘Preventing, Disrupting and Interrupting’ Exploitation is a significant and vital step towards protecting and keeping children and young people safe within our communities. A collective and community partnership approach is essential: together we can be innovative, creative and stronger, in the fight to eradicate exploitation.
Our webinar is aimed at informing and empowering all statutory and non-statutory Community Safety and Safeguarding partners, in the creation of robust and appropriate Disruption Plans when children and young adults are experiencing or at risk of abuse and exploitation.
We have the enormous pleasure of welcoming and hearing from our expert speakers who will provide you with up-to-date knowledge, experience and examples of successful cases, where disruption has been helpful and effective.
We know from experience and research that a ‘united, multi-agency, community partnership’ approach to disrupting exploitation is essential; having the confidence to recognise, understand and respond effectively becomes easier when you have the knowledge and ‘competence’ to do so.
When we suspect that a child/young adult is at risk of, or already experiencing exploitation, there is much to do within a safeguarding response, and this can only be achieved efficiently when all safeguarding partners are thinking and working together, towards a common goal.
During this webinar, you will explore the complexities of preventing, disrupting and interrupting exploitation and hear about some of the tried and tested methods that have been successful.
At the end of the session, we will include an interactive discussion that will allow you to ask our expert speakers/panellists questions relating to this topic.
This is an amazing opportunity to gain a greater insight into the vast array of opportunities available to prevent/disrupt/interrupt exploitation at the earliest stages and will enable you to adapt your safeguarding practice and approaches to achieve greater outcomes; by collaborating with families, communities and relevant partners/agencies, it ensures a holistic and all-inclusive response, where their voices are heard, and their experiences are validated.
This session will benefit anyone who has/is likely to be involved in community safety and safeguarding of children/young adults.
