NWARC New Year's Day Anti-Football Drive

We always love starting off the New Year on the right foot with a New Year’s Day drive on backroads and smaller highways. If it’s raining, we’ll gather inside where the air and coffee are warm… otherwise we’ll gather outside for a drivers’ meeting and head out at 9:30 AM. As we leave, we’ll wander out towards the Snoqualmie Valley, then north through Monroe and the windy roads to Granite Falls. From there we head over to Hwy 9 and eventually join Interstate 5 for a short stint. Just north of Bellingham we exit for more back roads that take us to the water’s edge as we make our way past Ferndale and into Birch Bay. We will end our 3 hour drive at CJ’s Beach House café 7878 Birch Bay Drive at 12:30 PM; they’re expecting us for lunch! Afterwards, we are on our own to wander home as we want. I'll have the route in Rallista and also as hard copy handout. Drivers’ meeting, then head out by 9:30 AM.
