Join us on Wednesday 4th March at the offices of Angel Solutions in Liverpool’s Innovation Park for an honest and inspiring evening with three Liverpool-based designers. Each speaker will share their personal journey into UX — from early steps and challenges to securing their first roles in the industry.
You’ll hear practical insights, lessons learned, and real-world advice for anyone looking to transition into UX or take the next step in their career.

Speaker 1: Jianan Meng, UX Designer
Jianan Meng is a UX and Product professional currently building a freelancing platform, wearing multiple hats both design and product strategy. Previously at Quabble, Jianan contributed to improving the journey of building emotional resilience for thousands of users.

Speaker 2: Alexis Salonga, UX Designer, CAVU, Manchester Airports Group
Alexis Salonga, is a UX Designer & Researcher currently at CAVU (part of Manchester Airports Group) since moving over form her previous UX Design role at Matalan. She now works on MAG's global travel ancillary products ecommerce bookings platform based at home and at Manchester Airport.

Speaker 3: Sam Blake, UX Designer, Matalan
Formery at Santander, Sam is now a UX Designer at Matalan. Sam brings a refreshingly honest perspective on breaking into UX through unconventional routes, with lessons from pest control tech, fraud prevention, and now fashion retail UX.
