Hudson Valley Community College Global Culture Series presents Nusantara Arts!Experience the unique art of Balinese music and dance! Buffalo-based Nusantara Arts, led by world renowned Balinese musician and composer Gusti Komin Darta - has over a decade of experience and expertise performing and teaching Indonesian music and has performed at major venues and festivals throughout Western New York, including Kleinhans Music Hall, Asbury Hall, ArtPark, Blue Heron Festival and Music is Art. Nusantara Arts will visit the Capitol region for the very first time bringing its Balinese Semar Peguligan gamelan ensemble to Hudson Valley Community College for two interactive workshops — taught by Gusti Komin Darta and Reisa Avanti — and a full‑length concert showcasing electrifying music and elegant dancing.
