A Festive Sculpture Spectacular with Joanna Susskind & Gavin Glover

Step out of the December chaos and into the shimmering Grand Hall at House of Toad for one of the most unusual, joy-filled, and wonderfully mischievous creative nights of the season.
Animator Joanna Susskind and Gavin Glover — master puppeteer, brilliant sculptor, ATYN regular, and long-time friend of Joanna’s — are teaming up for a rare, one-night-only collaboration. They don’t host many things together… and when they do, it’s always a little bit magic.
With life models dressed for the occasion, live music (possibly a DJ), and the warm hum of the ATYN Christmas Art Fayre happening throughout the building, Nude Noël is a chance to shut out the rush of the season and sink into a few hours of hands-on making.
You might get the chance to play with:
- ✨ clay
- ✨ wire
- ✨ armatures (provided)
- ✨ or whatever sculpt-y materials you’d love to bring along and try
Work fast and loose, try a few different poses, experiment with materials you’ve never touched before —be curious, play, and enjoy the strange moment you'll find yourself in. You’ll leave with your own little sculpture with a stand, perfect to keep forever or gift to someone for Christmas.
Come along early to wander the ATYN Christmas Fayre and explore the ATYN Exhibition — meet the stallholders, chat to artists, and soak up the atmosphere before the sculpting begins.
It’s inventive, it’s wonky, it’s beautifully festive, and it’s absolutely one-of-a-kind.
