Join the Nu Skool of Afrikan American Thought to kick off our 2025 Community Education Series with renowned historian, Professor Mahmoud El-Kati! This year's Nu Skool 4th Friday series explores Black Power through revolutions, rebellions, and uprisings. This January opening session sets the global context of Black Power, tracing a through-line from the Haitian Revolution, to rebellions by enslaved peoples in the United States, and anti-colonial struggles on the continent of Africa to the 2020 uprisings following the murder of George Floyd.
We hope you'll join us for this powerful discussion!
