Events planned:
+Candlelight hiking and snowshoeing

All planned event activities are conditions-permitting. A final plan for event activities will be determined 24 hours in advance and posted on the event’s web page and the Dakota County Parks - Forever Wild Facebook page. No refunds will be issued if event activities change due to unsafe conditions. Full refunds will be issued if the event is canceled due to weather.
Weather Cancellation Policy
If the forecast 24 hours in advance calls for the air temperature to be five below zero degrees Fahrenheit OR the wind chill to be 20 degrees below zero Fahrenheit during the event's end time, the event will be canceled.
Parking:
Parking is free and available onsite at Thompson County Park. Additionally, overflow parking is available along city streets wherever parking is permitted, to the north of the park (Sperl Street, Stanley Street, Arion Street East, etc.).
Snowshoe rental is not available. The snowshoe/hiking loops are packed enough to not need snowshoes. Snowshoes do help with traction which can be especially helpful in the dark. Plus they are fun.
