About flamenco
Flamenco is a folkloric art form created in the south of Spain during the 18th century, by Roma, Arab, and Sephardic Jewish peoples in the region. The art form, consisting of song (cante), dance (baile), and instrumental music (especially guitar), developed over centuries as a powerful expression of emotion, suffering, joy, and resistance. In 2010, flamenco was designated as World Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
